My name is Gilles &#8211; or <em>Aegidius<\/em>, in Latin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an educator, humanities scholar, game designer and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/swoonq\/\">longtime musician<\/a>, I&#8217;ve forged a unique skill-set that synthesizes the traditions of arts and letters, the social sciences and new media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in the Canadian prairies, I&#8217;ve been living in Qu\u00e9bec, Canada since 1999. I&#8217;m a former educational designer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfb.ca\/\">National Film Board of Canada<\/a>, and hold a bachelor&#8217;s degree in classical philology from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.concordia.ca\/artsci\/cmll\/programs\/undergraduate\/classics.html\">Concordia University<\/a>. I completed my MA a the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.histoire.umontreal.ca\/home\/\"><em>Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al<\/em><\/a>, specializing in 18th-century colonial economics. As a graduate of the 2012-2013 Interactive Media Program of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inis.qc.ca\/programmes\/programmes-reguliers\/medias-interactifs-et-jeux-video\"><em>Institut National de l&#8217;Image et du Son<\/em><\/a>, and a regular contributor on the blog <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playthepast.org\/\">Play the Past<\/a>, I&#8217;ve also developed unique insights from playing and creating with interactive media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, I&#8217;m an elementary and middle school English teacher at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecoleimagine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00c9cole Imagine<\/a>, a Waldorf school located in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Laurentides\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Laurentides<\/a>, in Qu\u00e9bec.
